Getting Ready to Sell Some Baked Goods

Well, this is my first attempt at adding to this weblog, so I can’t make any guarantees about how it turns out 🙂 Thngs have been pretty crazy here with lots of substitute teaching opportunities for John, and lots of Toys R Us night shifts…but, we’re hanging in there and getting excited for the events coming up for the ministry. We have the bake sale this Friday at Monaca Wal-mart – a big thanks to everyone helping out with baked goods – pray we sell lots as people are getting ready for Thanksgiving.
Then, the following week, we have our Turkey & Stuffing Volleyball Tournament at Unionville UMC. We are excited for that – 4 youth groups so far – should be lots of fun!!
The kids and I are doing pretty well, too. Tyler & Renae are a lot of fun – they keep me hopping (and I think my hopping is extra slow being pregnant:) – or they are just extra fast:))
Well, hopefully I did this right – thanks y’all – we are blessed!!!

I’m 30 Years Old! Yikes

Kristie at Niagara Falls

Well it’s been a long time since I updated everything. I turned 30 on the 25th. Kristie and I just got back from Niagara Falls, she took me there for my birthday. It was really nice to have some peace and quiet.

We’ve been busy working on a lot of stuff. Kristie has had a bunch of Tupperware parties, and I’ve continued to substitute and work at Toy’s R’ Us. But that is all just allowing us to continue to pursue the dream that God has given us. On Friday we sent out letters to about 20 youth pastors, and we’ve already had several responses to participate in events. We’ve got a bake sale coming up on Nov. 19th and the weekend of Thanksgiving is the big Turkey and Stuffing Volleyball Tournament. On a final note as I watched something like 675,000 gallons of waters pour over the falls per second, it seemed like the water was completely unending even though it seemed like it should just eventually run out or something it reminded me of God’s love – completely endless!! It never runs dry!

Ending on a good note

Well, we got our second win. It was the most satifying senior night I’ve ever had as a coach. We had a long season where most of the year we played with only 11 players. I kept telling the girls their perseverance would pay off, and it did in our final game as we won 9-0. Keep in mind going in to this game we had only scored 9 goals all season, so it was definitely a big night. I’m glad we will finally be having a little extra time to do other things now though. I’m switching to the night shift at Toy’s R’ Us this week, because I’ve been getting calls to substitute teach. Thursday I taught physical education at New Brighton. Nobody got hurt too bad, so we’ll call it a good day.

Go To Pizza Hut!!!

Hey folks, I really need to take some time and update you on all the news but I’m on my way out the door to my soccer game, to see if we can get win number 2, so this will be a quick one! Last Sunday we had a great time selling crafts and telling people about the ministry at the Unionville Craft Show. We made over $200, so praise the Lord. Remember this month on Tuesdays at Rochester or Baden Pizza Hut 20% of your bill will be donated to Skybacher Ministries Inc. You can get the coupon you need at Events So go get some pizza tomorrow!! We also met with a church and are waiting to hear back from them about using their facilities for programming. Kristie had surgery on Friday for a hernia, and is recovering well, that’s all I gotz for now.
J-Mo Out!

Where A Kid Can Be a Kid

Well hopefully most of you have gotten our newsletter by now! Tomorrow I start working at Toy’s R’ Us to make some money to pay the bills. This weekend we will be down at Unionville Church at the craft show. We’re selling garden turtles that we made from rocks from Lake Erie, and Kristie is selling Tupperware. Please pray that all goes well, and that we continue to get the word out. We just had a ton of flooding all around us, it really puts things in perspective. We really need to appreciate each day of life that we have. We got some news from Jamaica and nearly 80% of the island is in the dark and the whole island is in a state of rebuilding. Thank the Lord for this day, the day He has made!
