My son has his final school project. He had to do a report about an animal and make a menu for the food that animal would eat. I thought it would be fun to make him a quick logo for his named restaurant called the Kangaroo Hoppin Cafe. So here is the quick little logo I made. So I gave myself a challenge yesterday to design a sumo cartoon. I figured it’s a great illustration that everyone should have. My wife was horrified when she saw me sketching this in bed, but then I told her to wait for the finished product. So here is my attempt at a sumo guy, and I’ve even transformed him to a coloring page as well. Enjoy

I watched American Idol the last two nights. It was a joke that Pia got voted off, but she can get started on her career now. While watching I couldn’t help but notice what characters the judges were. I thought about making a cartoon of Randy Jackson. Once I got started I figured why stop at just Randy. So here is my American Idol cartoon. I did no previous sketching just built this straight from Illustrator. I think it turned out great, what do you think?
I often go into pizza joints and see a mascot on the menu of a pizza chef. Some of them are terrible. I’m not saying this is anything special, although I find him to be enjoyable. The truth is it’s not hard to make a little pizza dude.
