Ok so the Steelers are off to their 4th straight 6-2 start. It didn’t end so well last year, but I’m more hopeful for this year. Also just around the corner is Christmas (and hopefully another Steeler’s Championship). I’ve been working hard on some illustrations of 3 of the Steelers icons. Troy Polamalu, Hines Ward, and James Harrison. Soon you’ll be able to get these icons in t-shirt form. So tell me what you think and let me know what size you’d want. The cost of the shirts will be $18. The t-shirts will be gold with black and white print and will look just like the designs shown. Stay tuned for more info, but feel free to leave comments about your thoughts and if you’d be interested in purchasing a shirt.

So I admire the way he plays on the field, but I’ve always felt he was a little bit of a spoiled brat. Whatever the case, could he really be headed next door to Manchester City??? Rooney in baby blue doesn’t make sense to me. I guess we’ll see what happens but I had to jump the gun a bit and see what he might look like in the Manchester City uniform.

So the NFL makes billions off promoting violence and vicious hits. The Madden video game introduced the “hit stick” encouraging you to take your opponents head off. They show highlights of bone crunching tackles, but when James Harrison smashes someone on a tackle its a fine??? Interesting what do you think? I know one thing I wouldn’t want to be the guy who has to go collect the money off of Harrison. Go Steelers!!

Final thoughts on the World Cup
It started out slow but there were some incredible games. Netherlands vs Uruguay was amazing. The final was disappointing to me because I had picked Holland to win it all, and it seemed as if they were the refs choice, but oh well they played very well. USA is not even close. We were in a weak group and struggled to get out. We gave up early goals in every game. Why are we starting games trying to be tactical? Just play with athleticism, skill, and aggression that we do once we are down in the game!! Italy, and France didn’t even belong in the World Cup. Ivory Coast one of my favorites because of Drogba got a raw deal, playing the number 1 and number 3 ranked teams first. Ok this is all old news anyway but I had fun during the World Cup making a whole series of cartoons. So here is the World Cup Series 1 in all of it’s glory! Now bring on the Premier League!

USA vs. England in just four days!! Let’s go USA. Tim Howard will probably be getting a work out, so hopefully he is up to the task!

These might not be ranked in the order that most people might make them but here are the players I’m looking forward to watching the most at this summer’s World Cup.
- Didier Drogba – He is a monster! Strong in the air. Sets others up, and has decent speed. Drogs will have at least 3 goals and continue his goal scoring form from the Barclay’s Premier League.
- Cristiano Ronaldo – He’s a little too pretty for my taste, but his foot skills are incredibly quick.
- Lionel Messi – He was voted the best player in the world for a reason but the only there may only be one thing to watch with the train wreck that is Argentina
- Tim Howard – I imagine the USA keeper will be seeing plenty of work.
- Michael Essien – He’s been out of action for a while it will be interesting to see what he can do for Ghana
- Fernando Torres – He may win the Golden Boot playing for high powered Spain
- Landon Donovan – There’s gotta be someone to cheer for from the U.S.
- Kaka – highly skilled and highly amazing! Hope the injuries don’t hinder him
- Arjen Robben – his strikes in the Champions League were killer, look for one in the World Cup!
- Giuseppe Rossi – not even a starter probably, but could have been playing for the U.S. Let’s see what we missed out on
- Frank Ribery – seems to be a mess at times but not when he is playing soccer.
Sorry Wayne Rooney I just don’t expect much but I would love to see England do well after the U.S. beats them (unlikely). Honorable Mention to Miroslav Klose I imagine he’ll find a way to score again. Who are your players you can’t wait to watch. Feel free to leave a comment.
