Final thoughts on the World Cup
It started out slow but there were some incredible games. Netherlands vs Uruguay was amazing. The final was disappointing to me because I had picked Holland to win it all, and it seemed as if they were the refs choice, but oh well they played very well. USA is not even close. We were in a weak group and struggled to get out. We gave up early goals in every game. Why are we starting games trying to be tactical? Just play with athleticism, skill, and aggression that we do once we are down in the game!! Italy, and France didn’t even belong in the World Cup. Ivory Coast one of my favorites because of Drogba got a raw deal, playing the number 1 and number 3 ranked teams first. Ok this is all old news anyway but I had fun during the World Cup making a whole series of cartoons. So here is the World Cup Series 1 in all of it’s glory! Now bring on the Premier League!

It has been an extremely busy summer, but I’ve loved watching, playing, coaching, and drawing, lot’s of soccer. I’m starting a new series of guys for the upcoming 10-11 season. Here is Bastan Schweinsteiger, who filled in rather nicely for Michael Ballack and had a great World Cup. Enjoy!!

Just got back from a missions trip to the Czech Republic. I helped run a soccer camp and had so much fun. I printed and took a bunch of the soccer cartoons. They were a smash hit with the kids. Which made me really excited, but I felt bad that I didn’t have a cartoon of one of their sports heroes, because everyone was passing on the Landon Donovan’s. Ha! So here he is Petr Cech, Chelsea and the Czech National Team’s goal keeper!

I’ve been over seas for a while, but it didn’t stop me from watching the World Cup. I was really pulling for the Netherlands to pull it out, and was a little disturbed by Iniesta’s diving around the pitch, but Spain played well, and deserve the trophy, as much as that pains me to say. Anyway David Villa was a star and I had to make a cartoon of him as soon as I got home. So, here he is!!

He’s battled through a few injuries but the reports are that he is fit to play, I hope so because USA is gonna beat him up in the opening World Cup match.
