So I gave myself a challenge yesterday to design a sumo cartoon. I figured it’s a great illustration that everyone should have. My wife was horrified when she saw me sketching this in bed, but then I told her to wait for the finished product. So here is my attempt at a sumo guy, and I’ve even transformed him to a coloring page as well. Enjoy

Ok I have to hand it to them, Manchester United has won the Premier League Title. Congratulations! I’m not a big fan but respect them anyway. I’ve drawn a ton of soccer cartoons over the past 2 and half years but not many of them have been players from Manchester United. I had to take a stab at who I think should have been the player of the year: Nani. I also included the winner of the Golden Boot Dimitar Berbatov. Finally I added Rooney the heart and soul of the team, who wanted to go to Manchester City half way through the season. (Still gotta take a jab or two). Someday I wanna add a very respectable hard working (old Grandpa) Ryan Giggs, but he’ll have to wait. So Congratulations Manchester United, and Chelsea will be back next year if we can find someone to take Torres off of us!
It was almost a year ago that everyone was getting ready for the first ever World Cup in an African Nation. I thought the 2010 World Cup was awesome, it started out slow but things got going by the end. I feel like Spain was gonna win one way or the other and didn’t like how the final went (I had picked Netherlands from the beginning of the tournament.) Anyway here is a collection of all of my World Cup Inspired Cartoons.
Barcelona Team Poster – 2011
Congratulations to Barcelona for winning their third straight La Liga title. They still have a chance of winning the Champions League too! This may be the great team the world has ever seen!

David Villa

I coach a U-10 soccer team. For the past two seasons we’ve called ourselves the Hot Dogs. (I have no idea why, I think someone yelled it out and I went with it.) Anyway the Hot Dogs are off to an amazingly “hot” start. In our first two games we’ve scored 20 goals and allowed zero, and we’re not even hot doggin it! I got thinkin about the team name and thought it would be cool if I made a logo of a soccer playing hot dog. This is what I ended up with. What do ya think?
