“One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.” Luke 17:15-16

Well it was a rough night at the Mohrbacher household.  Three of the 6 were up battling a stomach virus.  I was on the clean-up crew.  My oldest had the worst of the lot battling all throughout the night.  But, in the middle of his battle he uttered two words that changed my whole perspective on the annoying night.  He said, “thanks Dad!”  The fact was I really hadn’t done much, I was just there, making sure he didn’t go through it alone.  He noticed and was grateful.

We just rounded the corner of Thanksgiving and I wonder how thankful people have remained?  How often do we forget to utter two simple words to our Heavenly Father, who is always there so we don’t have to go through it alone?  How long has it been since you’ve said “Thanks Dad!”?
